Suggestions to make the Law of Attraction an easy “experience”

In August of 2005 a friend let me borrow the audiotapes of Abraham-Hick’s recordings of the Laws of the Universe. I remember I was living on East 96th Street at the time and I put my radio in the middle of my apartment as I listened from across the room. As Abraham explained the laws of the Universe and how we get what we get, I held my head in my hands and my jaw was wide open – I was absolutely horrified with the news! I attracted EVERYTHING that I have ever experienced to me? I thought “oh my God this is really scary”!
But that was not the scary part at all. The scary part was how crazy I drove myself, for a very long time, forcing myself to think positively. I missed the boat many times on what I should have done so I do not want any of you to do the same. Here is my advice for those of you who want a better life today:
1. Do not beat up on yourself! Maybe you are way into your sixties and just found out about the Law of Attraction and you think it is too late – it is not too late! Most people discover this information in their 50′s and 60′s anyway! ![]()
2. Do not force yourself to think more positively! That is the wrong way of going about it because it is like trying to jump from the ground to get on the mountain top. It’s impossible! What I mean by that is – there are reasons why you feel negative emotion so you have to deal with those reasons.
3. Which leads me to my next suggestion – admit to your problems! This is actually the hard one and has been the hardest for me because it is not that I do not want to admit to my problems – sometimes I do not know what they are and I know I am not the only one. So maybe a better thing to do is to create a list of what it is that you have that you do not want, even if the list makes you cringe, write it down.
4. Find a really experienced EFT practitioner and have them help you tap on your list. Start with EFT! In fact, email Carol Look (I hope she does not mind that I am telling everyone to do this)
. Carol Look is one of the most famous and best EFT practitioners out there and she knows all the great ones near you! Even if you are the most experienced person in the stress reduction world, I have learned we all are here to help each and sometimes someone else can see your problems better than you can. And many times someone else can help you better than you can help yourself!
It is a good thing to get help with this Law of Attraction “stuff” because your patterns of thinking – whether they are positive or negative – are far stronger than you could ever imagine. You have no idea how strong they are and how you, and only you, have been attracting everything into your life. When I first learned about the law of attraction I did not know anything about mental programming. It was only years after that I understood it and wished I knew then because I would have taken up tapping then – I did not and boy would it have made my life easier!
So that is why I am telling you all to do it now. Do the things that I have suggested and please come back here and leave comments on the great things that have come into your life because of it!
Maintaining your ideal weight with the Law of Attraction

A lot of people do not think that maintaining your weight with your thoughts is possible. When I first started learning about the Law of Attraction, the thought did not cross my mind at all but when I attracted a certain book into my life, I then quickly realized that it was absolutely possible. The book that I am talking about is “Natural Cures” by Kevin Trudeau and no I am not writing this article to get you to buy this book – I am using my experience with the book as an example of how I found something that I believed in that helped me to then easily manage my weight without dieting.
Sounds confusing right? Let me explain. I have heard Abraham say over and over and over again that it is not about what you do that will make you lose weight but what you believe in. During high school I was told that fat will make you fat. By college time it was meat will make you fat and then after I graduated it was carbohydrates will make you fat. We live in a time where we are bombarded with information everywhere we go. What is true and what is not true? How do you decide? How do you know what is right to do?
In 2006 I came across Kevin Trudeau’s book “Natural Cures”. The chapter in his book that discussed weight loss really resonated with me. He said in this chapter that the reason why it is so hard for people to lose weight is because of the amount of toxins in the food. He said that if the food was organic then the body would know what to do with it and would not store it because with less toxins the body would function properly. I completely believed in what he said and I went to the health food store the next day and bought all organic food including organic soda, cookies, cakes etc. And i regularly did many different cleanses just like he said and do you know what happened – it worked! But it worked not because of the techniques but because I believed in it – it was my belief in it that made it work.
It has been almost five years and I have not been on a diet since. Although, I have to say that I believed so much in the “organic way” that I had to tap my way out of being afraid of eating anything that was not organic. Now I am free to eat anything and in whatever quantity that I choose.
I am not writing this to make anyone jealous or hate me. Instead, I want to give you a better and quicker way of being “diet free” for good. Change the source of your problem – your beliefs about food and use EFT to do it! EFT is the best suggestion. If you have negative emotion about eating candy or eating anything then that is what you tap on! You want to get to a point where you can pick up a hamburger and feel only good about eating it! Also, tap on your “stories”. You know those “terrible things that happened to me stories”? Yes, I really believe that is also what causes people to keep excess weight on – it is the fact that they hold onto so many things that bother them.

How to change your life completely in 60 days

I decided I would write a series of blog postings citing my recent experiences with how I have been easily moving in a more positive direction. I recently came to a lot of great conclusions about these techniques and I want to explain what I have discovered and how I got here so I can help other people get what they want easily and quickly.
The end of this month will mark the fifth year that I have known about the Law of Attraction and have been trying to move in a more positive direction.
I first learned about the Law of Attraction from a friend in Toronto, Canada who introduced me to the Abraham-Hicks audios. In the beginning, I was not that interested in the idea of being “happy”. I was rather more focused on getting the manifestations. I would roll my eyes when I would listen to Abraham say that it is important to feel good. I would think to myself that it is important to leave my job because I was so miserable there. I did not know how to feel better at my job or look at other things that were not that good in my life and try to feel good about them too.
What I was good at though was retaining the knowledge of Abraham and remembering the answers to so many questions. In the first year and a half of understanding the Law of Attraction I was able to release a lot of very negative beliefs and move in a better direction. I began to apply the techniques on a less than regular basis though. I did not understand the connection between applying the techniques and feeling better. I still did not understand that feeling better is really the goal and the relief that we are all seeking.
So I was still about 49 percent negative for a while. I would see the things that I did not like and I would either ignore them or complain about them but I would rarely do anything to change my feelings about them.
In May a very unexpected thing happened. I had a family member who was in good health suddenly die and it really brought me down and then by the end of June my dog Dottie died and I was really feeling very down. Right after my Aunt died I realized that I had too much anxiety and stress and that I needed to do a lot of stress reduction so I decided to do something called Faster EFT.
Faster EFT helped me a lot. I was able to go back to different parts of my life and change my negative memories. I worked on a lot of things that had been bothering me and I believe a lot of problems cleared for me as a result. Somehow it just became easier to focus in a more positive direction because of Faster EFT.
What was very interesting though was I discovered that the feeling a little better technique by Abraham-Hicks and Faster EFT or even regular EFT are basically the same thing. I think the feeling better technique by Abraham-Hicks is actually easier because you do not need someone else to figure out how you are creating the problem and/or you do not need to learn a technique either. All you have to do is just try to feel a little better than what you are feeling now. All you have to do is just reach for something you KNOW to be true that feels good. Then you put yourself in a more powerful state of allowing and then it is easier for you to let in what you have been asking for.
Also, two other things that really helped me are meditation and my new blackberry (if you can believe that). For five years I would meditate on and off. I did not really get what meditation was about because I felt like I understood what Abraham was talking about and; therefore, I thought meditation really is a waste of time. I have come to learn that meditation is very important because it really helps to put you in a very relaxed state and; therefore, in the receiving mode. Now I meditate twice a day at least just because I love to feel good and relaxed always.
My blackberry, as I mentioned, has been very instrumental in helping me become more allowing. I have wordpad on my blackberry and I use it to practice feeling good. I have documents saved in there such as: try to feel better, positive aspects about so-and-so, I remember the good feeling of… etc. I type in these documents all the time and I just practice good feeling thoughts. Abraham has a technique called touchstones where I write all really good memories that I have had throughout my life down and whenever I really want to raise my vibration and feel good I go into that document on my phone and read them and feel great.
I have been doing this often enough that in less than two months I have really acclimated to feeling good. Now my biggest priority is feeling good and because of that I am letting in so much of that which I perceive to be good into my life. Life has gotten a lot easier because I have come to realize just how important feeling good is and when I do not feel good I constantly try to feel better. I feel much more able to help others to move in this direction because I have done it in such a powerful way for myself. I really feel blessed that I am so young and have figured this out because I know I have a beautiful life ahead of me.
I would just like to recap what I think you should do if you want to achieve the results I have. If you are not familiar with the Law of Attraction or are really new at it I would do the following:
1. Watch the movie “The Secret”. I think it is a great idea to watch this movie because this movie really showcases the Law of Attraction in a great light and it entices people.
2. Purchase the book “Ask and It is Given” by Abraham-Hicks. In this book Abraham really explains techniques on how to become more positive. You can purchase a used book for relatively very little money on Amazon.com and the shipping and handling fee there is always less than four dollars.
3. Meditate. You must meditate. It is a must. It will take you longer to allow if you do not meditate.
4. You must put the techniques from “Ask and It Is Given” into practice. There is no way around this. If you do not do something different then you will not get anything better. The best way to put it into practice is by using wordpad, as I suggested earlier, on your phone.
5. Watch what comes. Pay attention to how you are changing. The more you put this stuff into practice the more money you will allow into your life, the more optimistic you will be, you will sweat the small stuff less and less, feeling good will become a priority to you, having fun will be a very big priority to you. Within sixty days you will see your life dramatically change. So have fun and let me know if you have questions!
Moving up the emotional scale

Today something that I did not want manifested. In retrospect, I realized that I of course attracted it and, although what happened may not be a big deal to too many people, it was a big deal to me because this is not the first time it has happened.
I really felt anger after it had happened and then I kind of went into a bit of a daze… you know the kind where you hear someone talking to you but all you can think about is something else that bothered you and nothing can keep you from thinking about it. That is how I felt for about two hours and then I tried very hard to release what I was feeling by tapping and using a Abraham-Hicks technique.
On my way home, I took a piece of paper and I tried to make myself feel better about the situation that happened. It took about twenty minutes but I was able to move from feeling angry and guilty to feeling frustrated and pessimistic about it. Abraham says that we have to put the way we feel first because the way we feel is our point of attraction. Below is the scale of human emotions. Abraham says if you can move up the emotional scale and make yourself feel better, on all subjects, you will allow well-being in a powerful way.
1. Joy/Knowledge/Empowerment/Freedom/Love/Appreciation.
2. Passion.
3. Enthusiasm/Eagerness/Happiness.
4. Positive Expectation/Belief.
5. Optimism.
6. Hopefulness.
7. Contentment.
8. Boredom.
9. Pessimism.
10. Frustration/Irritation/Impatience.
11. Overwhelment.
12. Disappointment.
13. Doubt.
14. Worry.
15. Blame.
16. Discouragement.
17. Anger.
18. Revenge.
19. Hatred/Rage.
20. Jealousy.
21. Insecurity/Guilt/Unworthiness.
22. Fear/Grief/Depression/Despair/Powerlessness.
When I got home I realized that I needed to cut myself some slack and stop being so self-critical. I reminded myself that it is okay to stumble sometimes. I think the hardest thing about this Law of Attraction stuff is changing these old thought patterns because they do not go away right away. Sometimes I forget that because I make such an effort to get rid of them, that is why they still exist in my life.
Anyway, I was glad that I made what happened today a non-issue by the end of the day. Even though I do not feel ecstatic, I can say that I am happier than I was earlier. What’s great about situations like this is that it teaches you, each time it happens, that you can pull yourself right out of it in less time each time.
No more negative core beliefs!

The mind is a complicated thing. How each person thinks and feels is unique. One person can hear a song and think happy thoughts while another person can hear the same song and be reminded of something bad that happened because that person associates that song with the bad experience. Tapping is powerful because it releases the body’s negative response to a thought, a image, a word, etc. The way you feel is your indicator of what you are focusing on – if it is something that you approve of you have a good feeling and if it is something that you do not want you have a bad feeling. The point of EFT is to use it on the negative feelings and thoughts that keep coming up. When you begin to deactivate them, and the only way you know that is through the way you feel, that is when you will see your life change for the better.
EFT can change our negative core beliefs. For instance, if you are upset that you do not have enough money that means that you have a negative core belief about money. What’s great about this is that you can change it! How do you change it? You just start tapping. Start tapping on all your feelings about money and then go out and see what happens. If things don’t change then you need to keep doing it until it does.
Today I was traveling and I barely did any tapping which was a surprise to me because it has become a ritual for me to tap in my mind while in transit. But I didn’t because nothing was really bothering me. I have been using Robert Smith’s technique daily for less than a month and I feel that I really have reversed most of my negative core beliefs. I know that I always end my posts trying to encourage everyone to try EFT but I really cannot say it enough. You have no idea what prison you are living in until you use a simple technique to let it go! You do not need to be afraid of your money problems or your well-being issues or anything else. You can change the way that you feel about anything and, when you do, the thing that was causing you to feel bad will change too. We are not here to have our feelings be on autopilot. We are here to direct our thoughts and to allow the well-being that we want.
I have been searching for this freedom for many years. I cannot tell you how grateful I am for EFT. It has really helped me gain the control that I have always wanted. I hope you all try it. Happy Tapping!
How to create a wonderful life by utilizing the teachings of Abraham-Hicks

I received these points in an e-mail yesterday. I think that they are quite powerful because they really speak to the intentions that Abraham says we had before our emergence into this physical experience. Abraham has called their workshops a number of different things over the years. Recently, they have decided to call them “The Art of Allowing”. The reason why is because we tend not to allow what we want to come into our experience because we do not understand that we need to get into vibrational alignment with what we have been asking for. The reason why the law of attraction is called the law of attraction is because, in this Universe, like attracts like. So getting into vibrational alignment means getting up to speed with the desire that you have which really means believing that it is there for you and; therefore, you need to come into expectation of it. Being in a state of joy also plays a part in this because people are often sad about the things that they don’t have and they inherently don’t realize that being sad about not having it is exactly what keeps what they want from them.
* Remember that good things happen when you are feeling joyful and when you are having fun, not when you’re bored. Create an exciting event every day and be playful about it.
* Move through life in a constant state of joy and your life will change for the better quickly.
* Don’t wait for something to happen since it’s already here. Everything that you want is waiting for you in vibrational escrow. Live your life expectant of the good things that you want and they will appear quickly.
* When you stop trying to make things happen and decide to just have fun, the Universe brings all that you want in powerful and wonderful ways.
* All your power is in the now and only in the now. Past lives are in the past and all that you have lived before, in this life, does not matter either.
* Ask for what it is that you want and feel for a feeling of gratitude. The feeling of gratitude always invites more of what you want to yourself.
* Allow yourself to believe that what you want is here for you. Trust that it is. Trust precedes the revealing of what it is that you want. If you trust, it’s guaranteed that it will come.
* Prosperous career, new house, more money etc… Feel that it’s already here and observe what shows up.
When Negative Emotion Feels Normal

“If you have negative emotion, which is your indicator that in this moment you are not vibrationally up to speed with your Source Energy, and if you don’t realize you have the negative emotion because, after all, as to most of you, negative emotion has begun to feel rather normal…
In other words, isn’t it normal to feel a little ornery or a little aggravated or a little overwhelmed? And so, as you acclimate to a feeling of negative emotion, what you’re actually doing is acclimating to a lower vibration. You are actually becoming accustomed to a vibration that’s not up to speed with clarity. It’s not up to speed with wellness. It’s not up to speed with abundance. It’s It’s not up to speed with who you really are. It is up to speed with what many are living, and it is up to speed with what you are observing a good deal of the time – but it is not up to speed with who you really are. But, because it feels normal to you, your Guidance System isn’t as alert and alive, and so you don’t receive the benefit of your magnificent Guidance System. If we were standing in your physical shoes, we would not allow or accept or tolerate long-standing negative emotion. Instead, we would use negative emotion in the way you all intended. We would feel it and know it for what it is: as an indicator that, in this moment, I have m attention upon something that is not in vibrational harmony with who I really am or with what I am wanting. “It’s wonderful to create all of those things. We want you to have everything that you want. We want every idea that comes to you to manifest in your experience. but we do not necessarily want it to happpen quickly – because we want you to enjoy the process of creation. In other words, if you could, in this moment, think of whatever you want and have it instantly be manifested you would find yourself instantly bored.
What brings life is the process of life flowing through you. It’s the feeling of the energy flowing through you. It’s the process of Creation that is life.
When you see something you want and you hold your attention on it and you give birth to a new idea – that new idea literally summons Life Force to itself through you. That’s what that feeling of passion is. But if you give birth to an idea, and as it begins to summon Life Force to itself through you, you begin to doubt it or worry about it or test it… now what happens is you are no longer a match to your own desire. So while it’s doing it’s best to summon Life Force to itself, for the completion of your idea, you are vibrationally out of sync with it now because you’re including the opposite vibration within you. So even though it begins to summon, you don’t feel very good in the process because the energy that is flowing through you is being hindered by the contradictory energy that is within you.
That’s what negative emotion is. Negative emotion is what you feel like when you introduce a lower, slower vibration to a higher, faster frequency. Once you understand what it feels like to summon energy and what it feels like to summon a lot of energy and to allow the energy to flow, once you begin to, through your own trial and error, decipher energy as you summon it and as you allow it to flow – you will never receive, by default or by not recognizing, something that you are not wanting.” Abraham

I have been listening to Abraham-Hicks and have been studying the law of attraction for almost three years. I recently received “The Astonishing Power of Emotions” audiobook from a friend and have listened to over half of it already. I think it is really quite good and I encourage anyone who wants to know how to master their thoughts and feelings to purchase it.
Esther Hicks is an inspirational speaker who dialogs with a group of spiritual teachers who call themselves Abraham. The teachings of Abraham have existed for over twenty years. Abraham-Hicks is known, throughout the world, as the complete resource for information regarding the law of attraction as they were the first to ever reveal the truth behind our emotions and the connection that they have to our inner beings.
As I have listened to Abraham-Hicks over the years, I have learned to accept that the law of attraction is universal. I have learned that we attract all circumstances in our lives — both good and bad. I have learned that each of us has an inner being within us who is constantly guiding us. I have also learned that our emotions are a feedback mechanism — when we feel positive emotions that means that we are creating a life that is in accordance with what we want and when we feel negative emotions that means that we are creating a life that is in disharmony with what we really want.

In a prior interview, Oprah explored the controversy and phenomenon of The Secret with Esther Hicks, an inspirational speaker and co-author of The Law of Attraction: The Basics of the Teachings of Abraham. Now, Oprah welcomes Esther back to the show to talk about the practical and meaningful lessons behind the law of attraction, which states that like attracts like, and how to apply the principle to your life.
Esther is an expert on the law of attraction and says she has gained much of her wisdom by dialoguing with or “channeling” a group of spiritual teachers collectively known as “Abraham.” In explaining the law of attraction, Esther says that you have the power to attract that which you want into your life, such as love, money or good health. She also says there are ways to reverse the negativity and bad occurrences in your life.
Some critics of The Secret and the law of attraction have questioned how people can attract bad occurrences into their lives, and say that illness and violence are unfair, random occurrences over which we have no control. Esther challenges that statement and shares a story about how one woman—even one plagued with disease—can proactively work to improve her condition.
“A lady was talking to Abraham, and she said, ‘I’m in such pain, I have arthritis in my hips and every moment I feel uncomfortable. How can I think about a good-feeling body when my body hurts so much?’ And Abraham said, ‘You have to separate what’s happening from the way you feel about what’s happening. There’s the physical discomfort, but [either] you’re in a painful, arthritic body and you’re fearful or you’re in a painful, arthritic body and you’re hopeful.’”
Esther goes on to say that the goal in life is “utter well-being,” and that you must learn to allow your natural well-being to come forth. “To me, it’s the absence of anything that’s bothering me,” she says. “Utter well-being is just that feeling that everything is fine and all right. It’s a feeling of elation.”
